In order to deeply study Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, implement the important requirements of General Secretary Xi Jinping's exposition on Guangxi's work, and guide and help young students to receive education, grow their talents, and make contributions in social practice, the College of Animal Science and Technology of Guangxi University held a departure ceremony for the 2024 summer social practice activities in Lecture Hall 318 on the afternoon of July 13. Wei Xiaoqiang, Secretary of the Party Committee of the College of Animal Science and Technology, Sha Jian, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Li Lina, Secretary of the Youth League Committee, Liu Cheng, Deputy Secretary of the Youth League Committee, as well as instructors and key members of various social practice teams attended the ceremony.

Teacher Sha Jian made a mobilization speech at the ceremony. He pointed out that in recent years, the college has actively carried out social practice activities, fully utilized the advantages of animal husbandry, veterinary medicine and aquatic disciplines, and actively served the rural revitalization strategy, which has played a positive role in promoting the college's talent training and local economic construction. He hoped that each social practice team would closely follow the theme of the activity, carefully organize and arrange, conduct in-depth investigations and research at the grassroots level, go out with problems, come back with results, and strive to improve the effectiveness of social practice.

Teacher Li Lina introduced the application and approval of summer social practice projects for students of the College of Animal Science and Technology in 2024. Teacher Liu Cheng conducted safety education and training.

Teacher Wei Xiaoqiang presented flags to each social practice team, encouraging the students to shoulder their responsibilities for building a strong country and promoting national rejuvenation, closely combine the realization of personal values with the needs of social development, transform the knowledge they have learned into concrete practices of serving the people and society, and strive to become good young people of the new era who have ideals, dare to take responsibility, can endure hardships, and are willing to work hard.

It is reported that the 2024 summer cultural, technological and health "three-down-to-the-countryside" social practice activities of the College of Animal Science and Technology of Guangxi University are closely linked to the theme of "Youth takes responsibility for Chinese-style modernization". A total of 8 social practice teams have been formed, which will go to Harbin, Guilin, Liuzhou, Chongzuo and other places to carry out patriotism education, Chinese cultural heritage, rural revitalization assistance, ethnic unity practice, ecological civilization research and other activities.
